A colorful and joyous welcome ceremony was held at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort to officially welcome everyone to the kingdom of Arendelle.
The first-ever Frozen-themed land allows visitors to step into the kingdom of Arendelle, which has been faithfully reconstructed from Disney's blockbuster "Frozen" movie franchise.
World of Frozen celebrates Summer Snow Day, which honors Anna's heroic act of true love that saved her elder sister Elsa and the kingdom of Arendelle. At the Summer Snow Day celebration, everyone is welcome to explore this fanciful world.
The opening ceremony was officiated by Paul Chan, Financial Secretary of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Josh D'Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences, as they accompanied the major characters of Queen Anna and Elsa to welcome guests to the kingdom of Arendelle.
In his address, D'Amaro expressed his excitement about bringing an immersive experience to visitors. "World of Frozen is an incredibly thoughtful, uniquely Disney destination where storytelling, innovation, and creativity come together to create the ultimate immersive experience that celebrates a global phenomenon."
With its immersive storytelling, in a way that only Disney can deliver, World of Frozen is a result of the continued close collaboration of The Walt Disney Company and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
"I am thrilled to see how the kingdom of Arendelle in 'Frozen' has come to life. Visitors to Hong Kong Disneyland can now physically immerse themselves in scenes once only featured in animation," Chan said.
