A secondary school girl was knocked unconscious and trapped under a taxi after getting hit by the vehicle in Sham Shui Po on Friday.

The accident happened at around 8am this morning at a zebra crossing near Berwick Street when the cab was traveling along Tai Po Road.
The 14-year-old girl was trapped and later freed by passengers on board the taxi and passersby, said a police spokesman.
The victim, who was unconscious, was sent to Princess Margaret Hospital in Lai Chi Kok. It was understood that the girl was a student of a nearby secondary school.
Police have since arrested the 58-year-old taxi driver Lau for dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm, pending further investigation.
According to video footage circulating online, the girl was suspected to have ignored the crossing lights before the accident happened.
