The Open University of Hong Kong, which is set to be renamed the “Hong Kong Metropolitan University” pending approval from the Legislative Council, has unveiled its new school logo today.

The new logo features the initials of the university - “M” from metropolitan and “U” from university.
It uses the two original colors of the Open University logo, the yellow-green color and the blue color, which signifies the university’s students to outshine and excel beyond their teachers.
The university’s president, Professor Paul Lam Kwan-sing said he hoped the new logo will bring a new look to the university, connecting its students with society.
