The incident occurred around 9 pm at Leung Fat House, Cheung Fat Estate. The 47-year-old helper was taking out trash when she was allegedly attacked by a man with a sharp object. She managed to return to her unit, lock the door, and call police.
Responding officers detected a strong gas odor at the scene and discovered a 31-year-old man, surnamed Fong, unconscious on the building's platform. He had apparently fallen from height and crushed a gas pipe during his descent. Paramedics provided emergency treatment, but the man was later declared dead at Princess Margaret Hospital.

The injured helper, sustaining serious knife wounds, was transported to hospital conscious. Police recovered a cutter beside the deceased man and confirmed both individuals were neighbors. Investigation continues into the incident's circumstances, with no suicide note found at the scene. Records indicate the deceased had a history of mental illness.
