A 53-year-old photocopier repairman, surnamed Wong, died after a fall in a company bathroom at Kwai Chung Container Terminal 1 on Monday. Police received a report at 4pm that Wong had fallen, injuring his head. Colleagues promptly alerted authorities.
Wong, conscious but unable to speak, was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital. Despite treatment, his condition deteriorated, and he passed away around 6pm. The police are investigating, with the case currently classified as “dead on arrival.”
Sources say Wong slipped while washing his hands, sustaining injuries to his left eye, cheek, and jaw. The cause of death awaits a post-mortem examination.
