The first leg of this year's Guangdong-Hong Kong Cup football competition will take place at Yuexiushan Stadium in Guangdong on January 15, while the SAR will host the return leg at Hong Kong Stadium on January 22.

Darren Arnott, head coach of the youth divisions, will be leading the Hong Kong, China team of 23 players, with 17 of them under the age of 23. The team called in several veterans including Southern’s attacking options Mahama Awal and Stefan Figueiredo Pereira, Ranger’s Lau Chi-lok, as well as Lee Man’s midfielder Wu Chun-ming.
Tickets for the first leg are available for purchase on WeChat, priced between 50 and 100 Yuan. Each person is limited to buying one ticket per transaction, and the ticket sales will be conducted through a ballot system without advance seat selection. Refunds will be issued for unsuccessful ballots.
Meanwhile, tickets for the second leg held in Hong Kong are available for purchase on Ticketflap. A buy one get one free deal is on offer for regular tickets priced at HK$160, while concessionary tickets are priced at HK$40.
All regular tickets are available on Ticketflap, there are no on-site sales of regular tickets at the stadium. On the match day, only concessionary tickets will be sold on site, ticket sales will start two hours before kick-off, to before the start of the match’s second half.
If the concessionary tickets are sold out before matchday, there will be no on-site ticket sales, according to HKFA.
