The music festival was held at the West Kowloon Cultural District for two consecutive days starting Saturday (Jun 1). Admission was delayed for up to two hours due to the T3 typhoon signal and heavy rain, which caused many people to be stuck outside the venue and miss some of the performances.
Participants said there was a 500-meter-long queue at the luggage storage area, and they have to wait for hours under heavy rain to get a wristband ticket and just a plastic bag for their belongings.
After the music festival, the situation was chaotic as thousands had to wait up to four hours to retrieve their belongings. Some reported that they could only leave at 2:30 am, despite the show ending at 10.30 pm.
Netizens labeled the event and its arrangement as a catastrophic failure and expressed anger towards the poor management.
The organizers apologized for the incident on social media and added that they had arranged extra manpower at the venues.
Additionally, participants would receive a free plastic bag for wrapping their belongings upon admission, eliminating the need to queue at the luggage storage area.
