Something fishy: A number of marine police investigated for fishing on duty

A number of marine police officers at the Ma Liu Shui Marine Police Base were placed under internal investigation after they allegedly went fishing on base while on duty. 

The force’s initial investigation revealed that every night since February, the relevant officers have been fishing on days when they were on duty, television broadcaster i-Cable reported. 

It was understood that they would first shut down the surveillance cameras on base before starting their fishing routine. 

A number of marine police officers were said to be involved, and investigators have begun taking statements from them and will look into their call logs.
