Hong Kong’s most eligible bachelor, "Package Lau”, off the market as he ties the knot

Congratulations poured in after Ocean Park chairman Lau Ming-wai on Tuesday posted a wedding photo on social media where the newlyweds, in a suit and a white dress, hugged each other sweetly. 

Lau wrote only a date “05/03/2022” for the caption, implying that the two just got married earlier this month. Lau’s new wife had her face covered by a mask while holding flowers in her hand. 

The 41-year-old is the firstborn of billionaire Joseph Lau Luen-hung, former chief executive officer of Chinese Estate Holdings Ltd. 

Dubbed “Package Lau” by the public for being a combination of good looks and wealth, the man got into his first marriage back in 2001. His wife Wendy, whom he met in university, gave birth to twins in 2008. They divorced two years later. 

In 2020, Lau was spotted shopping in Causeway Bay hand-in-hand with entrepreneur Joyce Kan. The couple first met each other on RTHK’s dating show “Who Am I?” in 2016.
