NOW TV news chief to retire

NOW TV news chief, Cheung Chi-kong, will retire at the end of August, PCCW Media Group said.

He will be succeeded by veteran journalist Bill Chan, who will join the company on June 23. Chan had worked at news departments of Asia Television and Television Broadcasts for over 30 years.

The company said Cheung have led the news department successfully in the past 15 years and is an important original member of the news channels. It also thanked Cheung for his contributions to the growth and development of the department and postponing retirement repeatedly.
