Hong Kong’s annual arts season will once again extend beyond gallery walls as Swire Properties launches Arts Month 2026, presenting a series of mixed-media and multisensory art experiences across several of its landmark developments.
The program will unfold across Taikoo Place, Cityplaza, Pacific Place and Starstreet Precinct, as well as The Upper House Hong Kong and EAST Hong Kong, transforming public spaces into platforms for contemporary artistic exploration.
Now in its 14th year of partnership with Art Basel Hong Kong, Swire Properties continues its long-standing effort to connect art with everyday urban life.
“Arts Month has become one of the most anticipated events on Swire Properties’ calendar. We are excited to present an expanded and reimagined programme this year, extending the reach of our arts and cultural offerings to more locations than ever before,” said Tim Blackburn, chief executive of Swire Properties.
“Arts and culture are central to how we shape our places. They invite people to explore our neighbourhoods in new ways, spark connections, inspire conversations, and create enduring experiences. This year’s programmes—diverse in form and perspective—reflect our ongoing commitment to integrating meaningful cultural encounters into everyday life, while contributing to Hong Kong’s vibrancy as Asia’s cultural capital.”
Immersive installations across the city
A highlight of the program is the Swire Properties VIP Lounge at Art Basel Hong Kong, themed Into the Wild. Designed by Oscar-nominated production and costume designer William Chang, the installation features around 4,000 handcrafted blades inspired by Chinese silvergrass, a native plant in Hong Kong. The installation forms an immersive landscape that will host the fair’s Dialogue Series.
At Taikoo Place, ArtisTree will present ArtisTree Selects: Imagination Investments, a three-part exhibition by internationally acclaimed artist Coco Capitán. The exhibition combines photography, painting and installation works, guiding viewers through a gallery environment shaped by the artist’s fascination with the sea. More than 50 photographs alongside text-based works and paintings reflect on Hong Kong’s maritime past, present and future.
Nearby, visitors can experience Memory Adoption Bureau on the 67th floor of One Island East. The participatory artwork invites audiences to engage with forgotten and overlooked memories sourced from photographic archives around the world. Linking the exhibition spaces is I Read While I Walk, an immersive installation featuring Capitán’s well-known aphorisms woven playfully into the urban fabric of Hong Kong.
Art meets music and public space
For the first time, Cityplaza will introduce IN ART WE SHARE – CITY ART LOUNGE, a cultural platform where art, music and performance intersect. The space will feature Perpetual Discussion Platforms, a vibrant large-scale sculptural installation by British contemporary artist Liam Gillick, accompanied by live musical performances.

Pacific Place will again host the only offsite Encounters presentation of Art Basel Hong Kong for the fourth consecutive year. The site-specific digital animation A String of Echo Traps by artist Christine Sun Kim will transform the mall into an immersive visual landscape exploring echoes as a metaphor for communication across languages.

Meanwhile, the nearby Starstreet Precinct will feature I Have Anticipated You II, a cactus-themed sculpture by Mexican artist Gabriel Rico installed outside Three Pacific Place. The work invites viewers into a psychological game, encouraging them to project their own desires and interpretations onto the cactus-like form.

Conversations, community and collaboration
Art will also extend into hospitality spaces.
At The Upper House Hong Kong, the Tea Room will host a week-long program curated with artisanal luxury brand Philip Huang. The series will feature conversations and workshops centered on craft, community and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Speakers include Southeast Asian textile artist Jakkai Siributr and architect Kulapat Yantrasast of WHY Architecture.
Across the harbour, EAST Hong Kong will collaborate with local social enterprise rén to present rén @ EAST, a month-long community art celebration. The hotel lobby will become an exhibition space showcasing artists from Hong Kong and London, highlighting the accessibility of art.
EAST Hong Kong will present r é n @ EAST, transforming the hotel lobby into an exhibition, while featuring a fundraising pop-up stall to support the beneficiaries of r é n.
