Police hunt man after alleged sexual assault on MTR train at Tai Wai Station

A 29-year-old woman reported being sexually assaulted by a stranger aboard an MTR train at Tai Wai Station on Thursday evening.

Police received the report around 6:54pm stating the woman was allegedly molested by physical contact while the train was arriving at Tai Wai Station. Officers responded to the scene, conducting investigations and reviewing CCTV footage within the station.

After initial investigation, the case has been classified as indecent assault and assigned to the Sha Tin district crime squad. Authorities are searching for a man described as approximately 50-60 years old, about 1.7 meters tall with medium build.

The suspect was wearing a black top and dark-colored long pants during the incident and carrying a black bag.
