The government delegation led by Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu continued its visit to Harbin yesterday to watch the Asian Winter Games competition and cheer on Hong Kong's athletes.
Officials visited the Taiyangdao Island International Snow Sculpture Expo and the world-famous Harbin Ice and Snow World to learn more about their operation and development.
Lee and Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law Shuk-pui also watched the curling event to support Hong Kong athletes. Lee said it was particularly significant as the Hong Kong, China Delegation sent its first-ever curling team to compete in an international multi-sport event, demonstrating the capabilities of Hong Kong athletes.
Lee believes Hong Kong athletes can gain valuable experience and enhance their skills through participation in various international competitions and exchanges with athletes from other countries.
