Embracing the development of Web3, the MTR Corporation says it will start its metaverse journey in partnership with The Sandbox, a gaming virtual world and subsidiary of Animoca Brands.

It aims to take customers to a new arena and engage creators to build this new community platform together.
A virtual station will be built on a plot of land in The Sandbox metaverse. By mimicking and gaming the railway environment, players will be able to enjoy an MTR journey on many levels that stretch the imagination.
Possibilities include driving a train or operating a railway station in this constantly evolving space.
There may also be a railway museum to show how the MTR intersects with the communities and cultures of Hong Kong.
