Bun-scrambling time beckons

Grab the moment and enjoy the fun of bun scrambling and a bunch of thrilling activities as the annual Bun Carnival in Cheung Chau is around the corner.

Consisting of three stages - training, finalists selection and the final - the Bun Scrambling Competition will kick off on April 6 with training sessions on bun-tower climbing. Up to 200 entrants who finish training will enter the finalist selection on April 13.

The exciting Bun Scrambling Final will take place at Pak Tai Temple Playground in Cheung Chau in the evening on May 5, where the 12 finalists will scramble for buns carrying different points.

Any three-time champion will also be crowned the "King of Kings" or "Queen of Queens."

In addition to bun scrambling, other activities will include stall games, handicraft making, variety show, climbing demonstrations and fun day.

Anyone interested in participating in the competition may submit their electronic applications from February 17 to 28 via the SmartPLAY website.
