Dr Mickey and Minnie spread hospital joy

Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, together with 50 Disney VoluntEARS and cast members paid a visit to more than 300 child patients and their families at the Hong Kong Children's Hospital last Friday.

It was the first time that the two iconic Disney characters visited the hospital and met children there in a surprise appearance wearing a doctor and nurse outfit.

Specially designed Disney and Pixar-themed gift packages were distributed.

The care packages included stress balls themed around popular Disney animations such as Frozen and Inside Out, along with popular character-themed stationery.

More gift packages will continue to be delivered to about 6,000 child patients through public hospitals and non-profit organizations.

The mother of an 11-year-old patient, Hoi Tung, said: "Our family was very excited when I found out Hong Kong Disneyland would come to host a party. My children can meet their beloved Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

"It is truly memorable!"
