Role-playing smash hit Baldur's Gate 3, based on Dungeons and Dragons, was named Game of the Year at an awards ceremony in Los Angeles.Larian founder and CEO Swen Vincke humorously accepted the award dressed in plate mail as part of a mutual agreement with colleague Adam Smith, who came dressed as a bear.
Set in a fantasy realm filled with wizards, elves and, of course, dragons, it is the latest installment in the titular franchise, created by Larian Studios.

"The team at Larian spent their hearts and souls for six years, sometimes under very difficult circumstances," Vincke said. "This was our Covid game; along the way we lost quite a few people."
Japanese video game icon Hideo Kojima provided a glimpse at OD, collaborating with actor and filmmaker Jordan Peele."It is a game, don't get me wrong, but at the same time a movie; a new form of media," Kojima said through an interpreter. "This collaboration will be really awesome."
