More than 800 giant bright red Chinese lanterns will be hanging over Lee Tung Avenue in Wan Chai as the 200-meter long tree-lined pedestrian walkway will once again present an immersive cultural experience for its Mid-Autumn Festival celebration - "Moon Fest Lumiere" - until October 23.
The LED Fire Dragon Fiesta will make a return on the moon festival on September 29 with an 18-meter long LED dragon after the performance was canceled for three years because of the pandemic.
At 8.30pm, the LED fire dragon will begin its journey at Lee Tung Avenue's Central Piazza. The procession will move towards Queen's Road East before heading to the Johnston Road entrance of the shopping street before returning to the avenue.
Lee Tung Avenue is also offering various spending offers to people such as dining and shopping cash coupons equivalent to 20 percent cash rewards and limited-edition gift boxes presented by the avenue with some merchants, as well as spend-to-redeem mini lanterns.
