Second super art issue out today

Artcan, the new artistic supplement of Sing Tao Daily, is welcoming its second issue today.

The supplement, attached to the Sing Tao Daily newspaper every Thursday, has received many compliments from artists, cultural groups and readers for its thoughtful design and artistic beauty.

The second issue, with even more pioneering photographs, design and layout, features the ongoing exhibition Madame Song: Pioneering Art and Fashion in China at the M+ museum.

It elaborates on the life of Song Huaigui, known as Madame Song, and how she became an art pioneer, business elite, fashion godmother and cultural ambassador in China.

In the latest issue, readers will also find out how Madame Song brought fashion shows to China from 1980 to 2000 and promoted the fashion exchange between the Western and Eastern worlds, freeing up Chinese people's fashion choices.

Publishing the new art column, the Sing Tao editorial team said it wishes to encourage the local art industry in the SAR and promote the city's artistic atmosphere, using art to connect the community and tell a Hong Kong story.
