Honk if you've heard this taxi story before

A taxi got stuck and disrupted tram service in Sai Wan yesterday after the driver accidentally drove into wet cement.

The cabbie told police he was unaware that there was repair work between the tram tracks leading to Kennedy Town from Central.

There was a warning sign, he added, but his view was blocked by a bus just before he fell in.

Luckily no one was injured.

Police arrived to maintain traffic order and contacted a tow truck.

The Transport Department said tram service from Kennedy Town Terminus to Hill Road was suspended for 45 minutes and resumed shortly after 1pm.
