This July, Macao invites visitors to enjoy a vibrant summer programme filled with culture, creativity, leisure and community charm. From family-friendly arts and playful city experiences to neighbourhood markets, festive gatherings, shopping, dining and convenient cross-boundary travel, the city offers fresh reasons to explore from day to night.
Blending heritage with contemporary energy, July’s activities take visitors beyond familiar landmarks into cultural venues, local districts, shopping destinations and memorable public experiences. With free-admission events, creative showcases, themed attractions and travel promotions continuing throughout the month, it is an ideal time to discover Macao’s diverse “tourism+” appeal through art, food, shopping, heritage and relaxed summer moments.
The Mak Mak Experience Hub opens from 10 July, inviting visitors into the playful world of Macao’s tourism mascot through themed zones, photo spots and interactive experiences. Highlights include Mak Mak’s Office, where guests can discover her “working time”; a lively Mak Friends Livestream Room celebrating festivals and leisure; and Mak Mak’s Daily Travel, featuring VR experiences and an AI camera for immersive Macao-inspired memories. Food lovers can visit the Mak Mak Gourmet Station, with themed snacks and drinks available on weekends and designated holidays, while shoppers can explore creative Mak Mak merchandise. Visitors can also join mini Mak Mak treasure hunts, collect stamps and redeem limited souvenirs.

The 3rd Macao International Children’s Arts Festival continues through the summer, offering families another reason to visit Macao in July and August. The programme brings together performances, reading experiences and weekend arts activities centred around the Macao Cultural Centre. On 11 and 12 July, the School of Dance, Macao Conservatory presents the original children’s dance theatre production Growing up with Dance 2026 – My City, My Dreams, inviting young audiences to experience Macao through movement, creativity and imagination. Across the weekends of 11 to 12, 18 to 19 and 25 to 26 July, MICAF’s Paradise Weekend Party will fill CCM Plaza with a lively outdoor arts atmosphere under the theme “Where culture flourishes, happiness happens”. The Children’s Fun Book House pop-up bookshop also runs on the same weekends at the ARTmusing Room, giving young readers a relaxed space to explore books and stories. With joyful performances, free weekend activities and family-friendly cultural experiences, the festival adds colour and creative energy to a summer visit to Macao.

The Macao District Lifestyle Festival 2026: World Cup Series brings football-themed summer energy to several local districts. From 10 to 12 and 17 to 19 July, the Former Iec Long Firecracker Factory will host activities from 2pm to 7pm, inviting visitors to enjoy the tournament atmosphere in a distinctive heritage setting. The Barra District programme runs until 19 July, from 2pm to 8pm, adding lively district experiences to the city’s World Cup celebrations. At Lai Chi Vun Shipyards, weekend activities on 11 to 12 and 18 to 19 July will combine family-friendly fun, trendy market vibes and live music, with free admission for all.

The Mak Mak-themed LRT brings a playful tourism experience to Macao’s Taipa Line throughout July and beyond. Running until 14 December, the special train features Macao’s tourism mascot, Mak Mak, across both its exterior and interior, turning everyday journeys into a mobile photo spot. The colourful designs incorporate Macao’s world heritage, UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy identity, major events and wider “tourism+” appeal, offering visitors a fun way to discover the city while travelling between key transport hubs and attractions, including Macao International Airport, Taipa Ferry Terminal, Cotai and Barra. Passengers can look out for the themed carriages during regular Taipa Line service hours, with standard LRT fares from MOP6.

Fly You to Macao continues to support convenient Hong Kong-Macao twin-destination travel until 31 December 2026. Eligible foreign visitors arriving in Hong Kong can receive a free one-way direct coach ticket from the restricted area of Hong Kong International Airport to Macao via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.
