Whether planning a day trip, weekend break or longer stay, tourists will find fresh reasons to visit Macao this summer.
The Macao Summer Market brings Macao’s holiday atmosphere to Hong Kong for a lively weekend of family fun, creativity and travel inspiration. Held at the Central Atrium, G/F, Olympian City 2, the market gathers interactive experiences, cultural and creative brands, kids’ activities, DIY workshops and live music, giving visitors a cheerful preview of what awaits across the harbour. Visitors can join prize quiz games, explore Macao accommodation packages and discover distinctive creative labels including C+WORKSHOP, BLACKIE the Cat and ONCE UPON A DYE. The Experience Macao Mega Sale section will also feature limited-time travel offers on selected hotel packages, attraction tickets, dining privileges and leisure experiences, making it an inviting opportunity to plan a refreshing Macao getaway.

For visitors who want to explore beyond the usual landmarks, the Tourism and Leisure Buses offer a convenient way to discover Macao’s local districts. This free shuttle bus service connects a number of Macao resorts with community attractions across the city, allowing visitors to enjoy local cuisine, cultural landmarks and everyday neighbourhood life with ease. Three themed routes across six itineraries operate on selected dates, linking areas such as the Northern, ZAPE and Barra Districts, Rua dos Ervanários, San Kio, Patane, the Hong Kung Night Market area and Anim’arte Nam Van. A mobile-friendly website provides real-time route information, timetables, stops, points of interest and around 300 featured businesses.

The 36th Macao Arts Festival presents an artistic feast of cultural diversity under the theme New Streams of Inspiration. Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and supported by the Macao Government Tourism Office, the festival highlights Macao’s role as a pivotal hub of the Maritime Silk Road while bringing together works from home and abroad. This year’s programme spans theatre, dance, Cantonese Opera and the visual arts, with 15 selected programmes and nine outreach activities. Highlights include Lotus on the Silk Road – Traditions in Motion, Swan Lake by Shanghai Ballet and Derek Deane, Divine Comedy by Italy’s NoGravity Theatre, The Starry Night – The Musical, and community activities that bring art into different districts.

Coffee lovers are invited to savour Macao’s distinctive café culture at Enjoy Macao with Coffee – Macao Coffee Festival, held at the Heart-shaped Tree Square of Macao Science Center. Returning with a refreshed line-up, the festival brings together more than 50 booths featuring coffee, light bites and creative brands, complemented by live music performances, workshops and onsite experiences. Set against the waterfront surroundings of the Science Center, the festival offers a relaxing stop for couples, families and friends. Visitors can also learn about the history of coffee-drinking in Macao, including the story that Macao is widely regarded as the first place in China to adopt coffee-drinking.
