Catching the bus on Olympic run

The Tokyo Olympic Games were over by the weekend, but Kowloon Motor Bus is now into its stride with the revving of sports-themed buses that started running yesterday.

Two buses carry silhouette images that represent Hong Kong athletes competing in 13 Olympic events including fencing, swimming, karate, table tennis and cycling - sports that produced six medals for the SAR.

Naturally, Olympic MTR station figures on both routes the buses are taking. Route 66X runs between Tuen Mun's Tai Hing Estate and Olympic Station and Route 270B between Sheung Shui and the station.

They also carry the message "Proud of You" to express admiration for athletes who delivered a best-ever haul of medals for Hong Kong.

Octopus is also in the celebration scene with limited edition cards for the Hong Kong athletes who figured in the Olympics.

The cards will feature drawings of each of them, rendered by artist Paul Lung, to capture unforgettable moments.
