A total of 77 restaurants in Hong Kong earned the latest Michelin stars recognition, surpassing last year’s record and underscoring the world‑class standards of Hong Kong’s culinary culture.
The Michelin Guide for Hong Kong & Macau 2026 was unveiled on Thursday, with Hong Kong establishments accounting for over 78 percent of the total awards.
The full selection of the internationally recognized guide this year features a total of 278 restaurants, including 219 in Hong Kong and 59 in Macau, across the Michelin Star, Bib Gourmand, and Selected categories.
“The starred restaurants span a wide range of international cuisines, underscoring Hong Kong’s star-studded appeal as a global dining hub that embraces culinary diversity from around the world,” the Hong Kong Tourism Board said.
Seven out of the nine three-Michelin-star restaurants are from Hong Kong, including 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo – Bombana, Amber, Caprice, Forum, Sushi Shikon, Ta Vie, and T’ang Court.
Cristal Room by Anne-Sophie Pic and L'Atelier De Joël Robuchon shine in the Two Michelin Stars category, bringing the total number of Two Michelin Star restaurants to 19, with 13 located in Hong Kong and six in Macau.





This year's selection features a total of 70 restaurants awarded One Michelin Star, comprising 57 in Hong Kong, including two newcomers, China Tang and Sushi Takeshi, making their debut in the Guide.
Furthermore, four out of the five Green Star awardees are Hong Kong restaurants. including Mora, Roganic, Amber, and Feuille. The award highlights role-model restaurants that embrace sustainability in their day-to-day operations.
Among the special awards, the Young Chef Award was presented to GwanJu Kim Sol, head chef of a contemporary Korean restaurant.
Floriane Hureau from Caprice at the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong also secured another special recognition, the Sommelier Award.
Paul Lau Ping-lui from the two-Michelin-starred Tin Lung Heen earned the Mentor Chef Award, which was presented for the first time in Hong Kong and Macau, honouring those who share their knowledge to guide others toward excellence.
The ceremony was hosted at The Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Michelin Star globally.
