In celebration of its 175th anniversary, St Paul’s College (SPC) hosted the Paulines Sponsored Walk on Sunday, with alumni Commissioner of Police Joe Chow Yat-ming and former Legislative Council President Jasper Tsang Yok-sing officiating the opening ceremony.

The event symbolized the anniversary through footsteps while raising funds to advance innovation in teaching and learning, particularly supporting artificial intelligence–powered education.
Jointly organized by the SPC Alumni Association, the SPC Foundation, the Students’ Association, and the parent-teacher associations of the college and primary school, the fundraising walk started at Tamar Park at 8am and covered about two kilometres to Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park.
Carnival booths were set up at both the start and finish lines, with 43 themed stalls along the route.

Chow and Tsang led fellow alumni and current students in chanting the “Dem Cheers”, symbolizing the transmission of school spirit from one generation to the next. A robot accompanied participants at the start, highlighting the integration of tradition and future development.
Other distinguished guests included: Deputy Secretary for Environment and Ecology Edward Yu Kin-keung, Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene Donald Ng Man-kit, Deputy Commissioner for Labour Vincent Fung Hao-yin, and Executive Council Member Joseph Yam Chi-kwong.
Also present were former Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing, former Executive Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board Dane Cheng Ting-yat, Ocean Park Corporation Chief Executive Ivan Wong Chi-fai, and Associate Dean (Health Systems) of the Faculty of Medicine of the Chinese University of Hong Kong Justin Wu Che-yuen.
