The fire broke out at the housing estate on November 26 last year. Thursday marked the 100th day since the incident in which Ho, who was later posthumously promoted to senior fireman, lost his life while on duty.
Ho had originally planned to marry his fiancée, Kiki, on New Year’s Eve last year. However, the tragedy left the couple separated by death.
In a heartfelt post on social media platform Threads yesterday, Kiki expressed the lingering grief she continues to endure.

“My tears have lasted until the 100th day, and it still hurts so much,” she wrote.
Kiki also recalled how the events of the day continue to replay in her mind, from receiving the call to rushing to the hospital.
“Then… I finally saw you, but you could no longer get up. You had just called me not long before.”
She added that she still longs for the familiar sound of her fiancé returning home.
“I wish I could hear the sound of your footsteps coming up the stairs to our home again.”
In the message, she admitted she is still struggling to accept the loss and has not yet been able to bid farewell.
“I wish you could come back to my side. I know you wouldn’t want me to be like this, so I am trying my best. Please forgive my selfishness — I still haven’t been able to say ‘goodbye’ to you. I love you very much.”
Her post quickly drew an outpouring of support from online users, many leaving messages to comfort her and encouraging her not to blame herself while wishing her strength in the difficult journey ahead.
Ho died while responding to the blaze at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, an incident that shocked the community. He was one of 168 people who lost their lives during the inferno.
