Police officers from the Enforcement and Control Division of the Traffic New Territories North Headquarters conducted a sting operation against taxi traffic offences at the Hong Kong Port Area of Shenzhen Bay Port in Tin Shui Wai on Wednesday.

During the operation, officers posing as customers detected two taxis suspected of violations, including soliciting passengers and using the designated fleet taxi parking area without authorization. Two local male drivers, aged 63 and 75, will be summoned and fined.
Police noted that the operation is still ongoing, stressing that they will continue to take strict enforcement to safeguard the rights and interests of the public and tourists.
It urged anyone to report taxi violations with details, including the vehicle plate, location, time, traveling route, and driver’s name.
