Over 20 residents evacuated after smoke fills Hung Hom roast meat shop

Over 20 residents were evacuated in the early hours of Wednesday morning after thick smoke filled a roast meat shop in Hung Hom.

The incident occurred around 2am at a shop on Shung Kit Street. Police received reports and firefighters attended the scene to assess the situation.

A total of 21 nearby residents – nine men and 12 women – hurriedly evacuated on their own. As it was late at night, some were dressed in their nightwear.
