HKRI to host public blood donation drive at Central Pier 3

HKR International (HKRI) will hold a public blood donation day in collaboration with the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service on January 13, offering residents a convenient opportunity to donate blood in Central.

The event will take place from 11.30am to 6pm at Discovery Bay Gallery on Level 2 of Central Pier 3. Members of the public are invited to register in advance through the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service via WhatsApp at 6279 7173.

HKRI said the initiative is intended to extend support beyond the Tai Po community by providing practical assistance to other parts of the city, particularly at a time when blood donor centers in the Central District frequently face high demand and capacity constraints.

By offering Discovery Bay Gallery as a complimentary venue, HKRI aims to help ease pressure on existing donation facilities while making blood donation more accessible to the public in the city center.

As a gesture of appreciation, donors who participate in the event will receive a complimentary coffee drip bag prepared by BLOOMS Roastery and Craft Tea.

HKRI said it will continue working with partners across different sectors to promote community care and encourage wider public participation in social initiatives.
