They were arrested earlier this month when police raided a suspected drug manufacturing site in Yuen Long, seizing drugs worth over HK$7 million along with manufacturing equipment.
The three defendants—21-year-old university student Chan, 35-year-old Law, and 28-year-old unemployed Pui—face one count each of trafficking in dangerous drugs and one count of manufacturing dangerous drugs.
The court heard that the trio allegedly manufactured and trafficked dangerous drugs on January 3 at a second-floor unit in Building 611C, Shan Ha Tsuen, Yuen Long.
Chan faces an additional count of trafficking in dangerous drugs for allegedly trafficking drugs on the same day on a path outside Building 611C.
They appeared before the Kwun Tong Magistrates’ Courts today, where they were not required to answer at this stage.
Acting Principal Magistrate May Chung Ming-sun granted a prosecution request to adjourn the case until March 31, pending forensic test results and further police investigations.
Bail applications for Chan and Pui were denied, and all three will remain in custody.
Law appeared in court wearing a black sweatshirt and glasses, visibly tearing up as he looked toward friends and family in the public gallery.
