Chief Secretary for Administration Eric Chan Kwok-ki on Tuesday said the government will proactively attract enterprises with cutting‑edge technologies to set up in Hong Kong.
Chan said that nearly 500 innovation and technology companies plan to come to Hong Kong or expand their local operations as of the end of October, and believed more firms will collaborate with the city in the future.
Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry Sun Dong said the Hong Kong Park of the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Co-operation Zone is about to open, and authorities are discussing with Mainland departments to enable the cross‑boundary flow of people, goods and capital between the two parks in Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
