HK para table tennis players win silver and bronze at National Games

Hong Kong athletes claimed two medals in the mixed doubles TT11 category at the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and 9th Special Olympics China in table tennis today, with Wan Wai-lok and Wong Pui-kei taking silver and Yuen King-shing partnering Wong Ting-ting for bronze.

The medals were presented by Jockey Club Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, Raymond Tam Chi-yuen.

Victorious Hong Kong representatives at the National Games qualify for cash awards under the Jockey Club Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme administered by the Hong Kong Sports Institute.

Individual gold, silver and bronze medallists receive HK$187,500, HK$93,750, and HK$37,500, respectively, while team events earn double those amounts.

The Jockey Club has committed over HK$500 million to support the Games across Hong Kong and Guangdong, serving as the sole partner organization for the Hong Kong zone.

This funding covers volunteer programs, citywide community and school promotions, and spectator experiences for underprivileged groups and youth, with nearly 100 Jockey Club volunteers assisting at the Hong Kong events.
