5 mainland women arrested in Kwun Tong vice operation

Police have arrested five mainland Chinese women during a joint anti-vice operation in Kwun Tong on Monday.

Officers from Kwun Tong and Sau Mau Ping police districts, together with Immigration Department personnel, conducted Operation Gust against prostitution hotspots including multiple streets in the district.

The women, aged between 35 and 44, were arrested for breaching stay conditions. All suspects have been transferred to relevant departments for investigation.

Authorities reminded the public that soliciting for immoral purposes in public places carries maximum penalties of six months' imprisonment and a $10,000 fine, urging people not to risk breaking the law.
