The centerpiece, Winter Wonderland in Central’s Statue Square Garden, features a towering Christmas tree with ever-changing colorful lights, surrounded by 28 smaller trees adorned in gold, red, and copper.
Oversized classic toys—airplanes, jeeps, trains, and airships—join puppet gift-bearers, vintage clocks, and heart-shaped candy canes to create a fairytale village.
A miniature train chugs around the site every 20 minutes with steam and cheerful toots, while the twinkling Starlight Train Station invites visitors to step aboard a joyful journey.
Live carols and surprise Santa visits will run through Christmas, and from November 28, a market of 12 chalets will offer seasonal treats, gifts, and hands-on workshops.
Central becomes a glowing Christmas hub
Nearby Chater Road will soon open as Starlight Boulevard, its trees and footbridges draped in shimmering lights. A golden-decorated Christmas tree marks the entrance to Chater House, leading under a canopy of illumination to the interactive Noëlia at LANDMARK installation inside LANDMARK ATRIUM—perfect for romantic winter selfies.
From the same date, eight surrounding buildings will host an immersive lights-and-sound show projected across their facades, delivering nightly audio-visual magic.
Citywide celebrations sparkle in every district
The festivities spread far beyond Central. West Kowloon Art Park welcomes the giant inflatable Merry Balloon Park from December 6 to January 4, complete with a 7-meter inflatable tree, character photo zones, and a 40-meter play track.
On December 28, the free Merry Balloon Parade will float nearly 20 massive character balloons above Victoria Harbour.
Ocean Park launches a mid-December underwater adventure with mysterious guests arriving by submarine to explore a hidden city alongside dolphins, rays, and sharks, plus limited-time games and festive photo spots.
Hong Kong Disneyland, celebrating its 20th anniversary, drapes World of Frozen in snow for dances with Anna and Elsa.
Evening highlights include local singers in Disney Christmas Live in Concert and the Holiday Wish-Come-True tree-lighting ceremony, blending Frozen themes with a drone show and cascading snow effects.
Iconic landmarks join the festive glow
Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui teams up with Disneyland from November 12 to January 4 for Magical Christmas @ Harbour City, featuring a 9-meter tree, parade-inspired installations, World of Frozen zones, and Duffy and Friends holiday houses, with Disney characters sending greetings via video.
K11 MUSEA along the Avenue of Stars unveils large outdoor displays and events from late November, while K11 Art Mall adds a grand tree and the city’s first Nintendo pop-up outside Japan starring Kirby.
Tai Kwun’s historic compound becomes a glowing advent calendar from December 1 to January 4 under the Hong Kong Jockey Club banner, centered by a 12-meter tree and contemporary circus performances starting December 12.
In Wan Chai, Lee Tung Avenue’s Luminous Carnival runs from November 21 to January 1 with an aerial Ferris wheel, an 8-meter LED tree, daily snowfall, and a 5:30 pm light-and-music symphony.
