A 32-year-old man was hospitalized after being slashed by two attackers in Sheung Shui on Wednesday night.
Police received reports around 11pm from passersby stating a man had been attacked with knives near 88 Pak Wo Road. Officers arrived to find the victim injured but conscious.
Initial investigation indicates two assailants attacked the man with knives before fleeing toward Fanling Wai Ming Street. The case has been classified as wounding and assigned to the Tai Po district crime squad.
The victim, surnamed Lau, was transported to North District Hospital for treatment. Police confirmed the victim and attackers were strangers to each other. Authorities are searching for two men last seen wearing black tops and white shoes. No arrests have been made.
