An elderly woman and her domestic helper were hospitalized after a gas leak explosion at a residential unit in Sha Tin's World-Wide Gardens on Tuesday evening.
Police received a report from a 43-year-old man around 7pm stating that a cooking stove had exploded and caught fire at his residence in House 7, Lung Pak Street.
The 70-year-old woman sustained back and leg injuries while the 34-year-old Filipino helper suffered wounds to her face, hands and feet. Both victims remained conscious when transported to Prince of Wales Hospital.
