All 180 wet goods stalls and four fast food stalls for the 2026 Victoria Park Lunar New Year Fair were successfully leased during Monday's auction at Lai Chi Kok Government Offices.
The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department said nearly 480 people attended the day-long auction, which ran from 9am to around 8pm.
Wet goods stalls attracted an average bid of $23,910, with successful bids ranging from $6,530 to $71,000. The highest bid of $71,000 represented approximately 10.9 times the opening price of $6,530.
Total revenue from the wet goods stall auctions reached $4,303,766, compared to $3,555,258 last year.
The four fast food stalls fetched bids between $130,000 and $230,000, averaging $163,750 against an opening price of $120,470.
Auctions for the remaining 216 dry goods stalls - comprising 170 regular-sized and 46 large-sized stalls - will continue at the same venue on Tuesday and Thursday starting at 9am.
The department reminded successful bidders to comply with all license agreement stipulations, warning that violations could result in terminated agreements and immediate stall evacuation.
