Search operation underway after person falls overboard in Tai Po

A search and rescue operation is continuing in Tai Po after a person fell overboard from a vessel near Lo Fu Wat on Tuesday morning.

Authorities received a report from a boat operator around 5:14 am stating that someone had fallen into the sea while their vessel was navigating the area.

Multiple agencies including marine police, fire services, and the Marine Department dispatched vessels to the scene. Additional rescue personnel assembled at Wong Shek Pier in Sai Kung to provide support, while the Government Flying Service conducted aerial searches.

As of 6 am, the missing individual had not been located, and search efforts remain ongoing.
