A 36-year-old man was discovered deceased in a car near a Chai Wan cemetery early Saturday morning, hours after his girlfriend reported him missing to police, fearing he was in distress.
The incident began around 10pm yesterday, when a woman contacted authorities, expressing concern that her boyfriend, surnamed Ho, was unreachable and possibly at risk.
Police launched a search and, shortly after 1am today, located Ho inside a private vehicle parked near the office of the Cape Collinson Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Chai Wan. Officers confirmed his death at the scene.
Investigators recovered a note at the location, though its contents were not disclosed.
Sources suggest Ho may have been struggling with health issues, which could have contributed to his state of mind prior to his death.
Police are continuing their investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. The case has prompted community concern, with authorities urging anyone in distress to seek support.
