Driver rescues elderly woman wandering on highway, reunites her with family

A compassionate driver rescued an elderly woman found wandering dangerously on Ching Cheung Road in Kwai Chung on Wednesday evening, ultimately reuniting her with her family through police assistance.

The driver, identified as Felix, spotted the disoriented woman walking along the highway around 7:30 pm as vehicles sped past. He immediately stopped and brought her to safety, offering her tea and comfort.

When Felix inquired about her residence, the woman could only recall living in Hung Hom but couldn't provide her name or other details, lacking identification or phone.

Felix transported her to Hung Hom Police Station and posted online for assistance. The post quickly circulated, matching a missing person alert in a local Facebook group describing similar clothing and appearance.

By 8:15 pm, police had successfully contacted the woman's family. Felix updated followers around 10 pm, confirming the family reunion and urging public vigilance toward elderly individuals with dementia and unusual roadside situations.
