Hong Kong Police Commissioner Joe Chow Yat-ming led a delegation to Lianyungang, Jiangsu province on Wednesday to attend the 2025 Conference of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum.

Commissioner Chow joined representatives from 120 countries, regions and international organizations to discuss global public security cooperation. During the event, he held bilateral meetings with Cambodia's Interior Ministry Secretary of State Keo Vanthan and Head of International Cooperation at Korean National Police Agency Kim Jong Gil to exchange law enforcement experiences and promote regional police collaboration.
In an interview with the Ministry of Public Security News Media Center, Commissioner Chow expressed honor in participating in the significant event, emphasizing his commitment to enhancing multilateral cooperation with international counterparts to address global security challenges and combat criminal activities.
The Hong Kong Police Force stated it would fully support the SAR government's call to serve as a super-connector, facilitating law enforcement cooperation between mainland China and international partners to address diverse threats and contribute to regional and global security.
The conference featured discussions on three main topics: developing strategies against global public security risks under new circumstances, enhancing public security capabilities through innovation and technical collaboration, and establishing improved global public security cooperation mechanisms through coordinated action.
Eight specialized forums were conducted covering transnational crime prevention, international narcotics control cooperation, counter-terrorism collaboration, immigration management cooperation, international police education cooperation, public security technology equipment, international project security cooperation, and tourism safety.
