Dashcam footage circulating online shows the taxi passing by a construction site when the pole suddenly drops vertically from above, hitting the front of the vehicle before bouncing to the ground. Glass fragments scattered upon impact, prompting the taxi driver to immediately stop and inspect the damage.
A construction worker sitting on roadside railings near the taxi was within immediate proximity of the falling pole, creating a dangerously close call. Following the incident, the worker reportedly picked up the involved bamboo pole and returned it to the construction site rather than preserving the scene.
Online comments expressed concern for the taxi driver's near-fatal experience while criticizing the worker's decision to move evidence from the accident scene. Some netizens questioned the worker's failure to check on the driver's condition first and highlighted the importance of preserving accident scenes for investigation.
