A suspect in the brutal Hung Shui Kiu murder case was escorted by police back to a village in Lam Tei on Wednesday afternoon to re-enact the crime, a key development in the investigation into Monday's killing.
The individual, whose head was covered by a black hood and who was restrained with a waist chain and handcuffs, was brought to San Sang Tsuen on Tin Ha Road. The location is understood to be the home of the 51-year-old male victim.
Under the close watch of the Regional Crime Unit, the re-enactment saw the suspect first placed inside a seven-seater vehicle. Investigators then produced a dummy, and the suspect was given a long knife to demonstrate the actions allegedly taken during the attack.

This procedural step comes as part of a widening investigation that has so far resulted in 13 arrests. Police are still searching for additional accomplices who remain at large.
Preliminary findings suggest the murder stemmed from a financial dispute related to illegal activities, with the illicit tobacco trade being a major focus.
It is believed assailants were hired to collect a debt from the victim, which escalated into a fatal stabbing before his body was discarded.
