The incident occurred at approximately 7:00pm when the shuttle bus, operating with one passenger aboard, collided with the pedestrian near Block 7 of Hong Kong Garden, 100 Castle Peak Road-Tsing Lung Tau. The vehicle subsequently climbed onto an inclined area where it came to rest.

The injured woman, who reported chest discomfort, was extracted by firefighters from beneath the bus where she had become trapped near a drainage channel that prevented her from being fully crushed by the vehicle. She remained conscious throughout the rescue operation and was transported to hospital for medical treatment.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident, examining both mechanical factors and driver-related circumstances.
