Designed for mobility and Hong Kong’s weather
The new uniform replaces the previous outfit with a lightweight, breathable design tailored for cycling patrols. The short-sleeved cycling jersey features moisture-wicking fabric and reflective strips for visibility, along with the police logo and shoulder insignia for clear identification.
The matching cycling shorts provide flexibility and comfort in Hong Kong’s hot and humid weather, while officers also wear specialized non-slip cycling shoes for safety.
Active patrols and safety awareness
The Bicycle Patrol Unit has been deploying officers to monitor cycling trails in the New Territories, where they also engage with the public to promote road safety education. The updated uniform ensures officers can perform their duties efficiently while staying comfortable during long patrols.
The police have released additional images showcasing the uniform’s different configurations, confirming its official use.
