Asia's first Hennessy Mart debuts in Central Market with revolutionary tap cocktails

Hennessy, one of the world's most renowned cognac houses, is transforming Hong Kong's iconic Central Market into a summertime cocktail playground starting Friday.

In collaboration with Draft Land, Hong Kong’s pioneering tap cocktail innovator, the first-ever Hennessy Mart in Asia will showcase four exclusive cocktails crafted with Hennessy V.S.O.P, promising an unforgettable sensory experience.

A symphony of summertime flavors

The refreshing Hennessy Ginger awakens the senses with the fiery kick of ginger tea, softened by bright lemon and the warm embrace of allspice.

For those who appreciate earthy sophistication, Hennessy Oolong unfolds with the deep, roasted aroma of oolong tea, kissed by fragrant osmanthus and a hint of smoked plum.

The crowd favorite, Hennessy Pineapple, blends the sweetness of pineapple with V.S.O.P cognac, perfectly complemented by the richness of hojicha tea and creamy vanilla.

Guests can also enjoy Hennessy Yuzu, a perfect summer drink that offers a vibrant twist, blending zesty yuzu with the delicate grain notes of makgeolli wine, barley, and a light floral hint of hibiscus.

The pop-up bar will operate starting today until next Friday (Jul 4), with cocktails priced from HK$98 each and a special offer of HK$160 for two.

A donation of HK$8 from each cocktail purchase will benefit Good For Good Charity, a non-profit organization committed to empowering underprivileged families and children from ethnic minority communities.

Redefining the Cognac experience

Hailing from Taipei, Draft Land Hong Kong is the brainchild of well-known Taiwanese mixologist Angus Zou and Hong Kong’s long-standing bar personality, Antonio Lai.

Its revolutionary tap system serves premixed cocktails pulled directly from taps, similar to beer in a pub, instead of requiring a bartender to whip up each drink.

Alex Ko, Beverage Development Manager of Tastings Group, which oversees Draft Land Hong Kong, explained that the tap system enables the team to serve drinks efficiently during high-demand periods at the mart, despite limited manpower.

He added that the collaboration with Hennessy aims to reshape the traditional perception of enjoying legendary cognac, transforming it into a more vibrant and accessible summertime outdoor experience for the public.

Beyond drinks, the mart features limited-edition Hennessy x NBA bottles and streetwear collaborations with Daömey and Mitchell & Ness. Visitors buying bottles can also spin a Gashapon machine for surprise gifts.
