Elderly man arrested for upskirting teen on MTR train

A 76-year-old man was arrested on Friday after allegedly taking upskirting photos of a 15-year-old girl at the East Tsim Sha Tsui Station.

The incident occurred in the afternoon aboard a Tuen Ma Line train heading towards Wu Kai Sha. 

According to police, the victim’s brother reported the incident at around 3pm yesterday, stating that his younger sister had been secretly photographed under her skirt. 

Officers arrived at the scene and, after initial investigations, arrested the suspect, surnamed Chow, on suspicion of unlawful recording or observation of intimate parts.

The elderly man, who is unrelated to the victim, is currently detained for further questioning. 

The case has been handed over to the Yau Tsim Police District for follow-up.
