Kanada-Ya, a ramen brand originating from Japan's Fukuoka, closes its last branch in Causeway Bay on June 30, marking the end of its journey in the city.
On its social media page, the brand announced that the closure of the Causeway Bay branch is due to the tenancy agreement coming to an end as well as business adjustments.
"A huge thank you to everyone who's ever visited us -- your support has made our ramen journey so meaningful and heartwarming."
The ramen brand added that although the last branch in the city is closing, its branches in other parts of the world are still open.
Kanada-Ya, once rated the best ramen shop in Fukuoka by the Japanese restaurant search and reservation service platform Tabelog, opened its first shop in Hong Kong in 2014 with the gimmick of "the best ramen shop from Kyushu."
The brand once had over seven shops all over the city, including Tsuen Wan, Sheung Wan and Whampoa.
