As summer approaches, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) has announced that all 46 public swimming pools across Hong Kong will gradually reopen in April.
Residents aged 60 or above can enjoy exclusive half-price discounts on admission fees, with monthly passes available for just HK$150. Here’s everything you need to know about the reopening, including locations, opening hours, and special offers.
The LCSD operates 46 public swimming pools - nine on Hong Kong Island, 13 in Kowloon, and 24 in the New Territories. Most facilities will resume operations from April 1 or after completing annual maintenance.
Elderly citizens (aged 60+) can enjoy half-price entry:
- Weekdays (Mon-Fri): HK$8 (Original HK$17)
- Weekends & public holidays: HK$9 (Original HK$19)
- Monthly pass: HK$150 (Original: HK$300)
Other eligible groups for half-price discounts include:
- Children aged 3-13
- Full-time students
- People with disabilities (plus one accompanying carer)
