Elderly woman injured after truck hit in Tai Po

A 73-year-old woman suffered head and nose bleeding after being struck by a van in Tai Po on Monday.

The accident occurred around 10 am when the vehicle turned onto Tsing Yuen Street, hitting the elderly pedestrian.

She was lying on the ground in a semi-conscious state after the collision and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.  

Police arrested the male driver involved on suspicion of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm and impounded the vehicle.

The case is still under investigation.
